Mother's day

During holy Christmas, 2022, we went to visit Amour et Partage. This particular retirement home holds a special place in our hearts, and we felt there was no better way to spend Christmas than in the company of these lovely elderly.

During the course of the pleasant evening, we traditionally prepared a delightful buffet, offering more than six delicious varieties of Lebanese pastries, soup and tasty rice with chicken. Eagerly following our delicious meal, our dedicated volunteers impressed us with their musical talents, playing instruments and singing old Arabic songs that seemed to resonate deeply with these elderly. The joy and enthusiasm that emanated from those seniors when they heard the songs was simply priceless. Some even shared insightful information about the historical significance of certain lyrical pieces.

As the lovely night progressed, everybody began dancing, filling the room with an infectious energy that was truly heart-warming. This festive occasion had a magical quality about it, with the Christmas spirit infusing atmosphere. We left with a renewed sense of optimism and hope for the future. The retirement home was brimming with life, joy, trust and – most importantly – love.

  Additionally, during the holidays we allocate time to join the residents at the retirement home and provide them with a small buffet and a delicious dinner. We enjoy singing and revel in the pleasure of music to make the occasion more memorable. 

During the Christmas season, we warmly organized a special event for the children we hold dear to our hearts. This time, we were fortunate enough to have Bassam Srouji, founder of Bassam’s parties and events, and his talented team come and put on an amazing show for the kids. The event was filled with so much joy and happiness, and we could hear the echoes of laughter throughout the night which put a smile to our faces.

It was heartwarming to see these children, who come from different backgrounds and face different challenges, all come together with one goal in mind: to have a good time and spread love. Throughout the night, we saw many hidden talents and potentials from these children which left us feeling excited for their future.

As soon as all the activities wrapped up, we all sat down to a delicious dinner which was meat soup. Everyone had a great time enjoying the food and each other’s company. But before the night ended, we made sure the children received their gifts which they were extremely grateful and excited about.

We can’t wait to embark on more plans and events with these fantastic children who bring so much goodness and positivity into our lives, and whom we feel very connected to.
